Dear Friends
« on: January 14, 2010, 01:12:30 AM »

I just wanted to stop by and say hi and give a big hug to all my friends, who lost their babies around the time i lost mine, and we all met here two years ago, and shared our sadness, our tears, and our love. vicky, ted, darlene, dee and dee. i have gone through the old posts again, and i am crying of course, missing dante and indira so much, and bonding again with you all.
thank you so much for being there, for being exactly the same kind of people i am, who can love your pets like your own flesh and blood, usually we are not understood or even made fun of. i love you all, my friends.
my advice for the anniversaries, i do a specially good thing that day, like a donation on food to the shelter, a special beautiful action that will make the day beautiful and special, in the name of my babies.
big hugs from buenos aires, and thank you for everything.
love
virginia.

Good to hear from you Virginia.

No matter how many times I check in to see if anyone's looking for a shoulder, it never fails that I too look through 'the archives', and like you remember back to how emotionally crushed I was when I lost Scoutie.  But it's also a good reminder of how far we've all come since our losses brought everybody together and how we all helped each other get over 'the mountain'.

I totally agree with your idea for anniversaries, I've been donating food or money to local agencies
around the holidays even more so than before. It's a great way to honor their memories.

Glad to hear from you again and hope all is well.

Hi, I have to say that I do the same thing...I look back at where we were and where we have come to. I personally do not think that we ever forget or stop missing our sweet babies...we just learn to go on and make room for more love.

I still do everything in memory of my baby Dakota and as my little Giz grows older...he is now 13 I start to dread losing him and pray to God that I can have just a few more years with him. We all know we can't keep them for as long as we want...which is forever LOL so we have to cherish every moment now.

It is always amazing to me how our loss and broken hearts brought us all together...I still think our babies had something to do with that. Perhaps it was one more gift of love.
